As not every beach can be travelled to or is accessible by the local bus service or caique (boat) you may have to use either a taxi or rental car. Where public services are available the details will be shown here. Also, to assist you there are some links to local car hire and taxi services.

Local bus services

There are three bus stations in town all providing services to different beaches:-

Terminal 1 - Fabrica (close to shopping area and the largest of the bus stations): services to Platis Yalos, Psarou, Ornos, Agios Yannis, Paradise and Paraga

Terminal 2 - OTE: services to Ano Mera, Agia Anna, Kalafati and Elia

Terminal 3 - Palio Lilmani (old port): services to Tourlos (new port) and Aghios Stefanos

Taxi

Close to the harbour front beside the statute of Manto Mavrogenous is the main station for the islands 30 taxis. Contact telephone numbers are 22890, 22400 and 23700.

Caique (boat)

The small boats leave regularly from:

Platis Yalos beach: to Paraga, Paradise, Super Paradise, Elia and Agrari

Ornos beach: to Psarou, Super Paradise, Elia and Agrari
